Hey there! I'm James Rogers, a seasoned camera operator, cinematographer, and videographer based in Los Angeles, California.

My journey began in a quiet mountain town nestled about 45 miles west of Denver, Colorado. From the young age of four, I've been captivated by the art of capturing moments with a camera. My brother and I would spend our childhood crafting little home movies in the backyard, igniting my passion for storytelling through visuals. Once I became a teenager, I started bringing a camera with me wherever I went to practice my craft and capture precious memories.

 

Over the years, my affinity for being behind the lens only grew stronger. I've studied the gear and practiced the techniques used in modern productions. Today, my goal is to bring your video concepts to life, infusing them with creativity and technical precision.

 

My professional journey kicked off with producing commercials for real estate agents. Soon after, I was filming corporate events and concerts, advancing my knowledge and skills in documenting live productions. Once I figured out that I wanted to specialize in the camera department, I started studying film and digital cinematography at Full Sail University. During my time there, I honed my skills by shooting many short films with fellow students. Additionally, I collaborated on a couple of comedic YouTube channels with some close friends called "Men in Beige" and "Project BRUV," where we crafted humorous skits and mockumentary short films.

 

In 2024, I moved to Los Angeles to start a production company with some friends from college called Vermuda Films. Vermuda primarily specializes in music videos, which gives me an opportunity to bring my two greatest passions together: music and filmmaking!
